An estimated 10-20% of young Europeans suffer from mental health illnesses. From your friend in university to your colleage at work, someone close to you might be suffering from a mental health issue. Young people have to face many challenges related to the transition from childhood to adulthood, yet a lack of mental health support is still a reality for far too many young Europeans. The stigma, discrimination and human rights violations that individuals and families affected by mental disorders suffer continue to be pervasive. How can we promote mental health in Europe? In this activity we shed light on how can we change the way mental health is looked upon by society in Europe.
