What can I expect at the YO!Fest?

Meeting a lot of young people from international countries and taking part with them in activities ranging from debates to workshops, games, discussions. It is also the opportunity to meet decision and policy-makers and to express your concerns or vision of Europe.

Who can participate?

Although the festival is mainly designed for young people, anybody can join. Please note that participants under the age of 18 will receive a specific wristband which will make sure alcohol is not given to them during the concerts.

How can I participate?

Your participation is all about arriving to the venue, attending the festival, joining the workshops, debates and performances. You will meet and interact with international people and hear inspiring speeches or have fun with your friends at the concerts in the evening. Basically all you have to do, is come, enjoy and become a part of this major event as a true festie.

What do I need to bring for the event?

Please note that for obvious security reasons you will be asked to bring your passport/ID card with you.

How much does it cost?

YO!Fest 2017 is free. All you need to do is register for the festival HERE until the 29th January and attend the event.

What is included in my registration?

By signing-up to the event you will have access to all the venues and activities. We provide that there is enough space left for you to join. You will also have the access to the evening programme. Please note that when registering food and accommodation are not provided.

Can I participate at the YO!Fest if I don’t register in advance?

Yes, you can. However, we’d like to encourage you to register before the 29th January, so we can send you updated information about the programme in advance and you can better plan what you want to do on the day of the festival (there will be more than 150 activities to choose from!).

We are a group of several people, do we all need to sign-up?

Yes, you do. Ticket and participation are on an individual basis for security purposes. However we do encourage you to invite all your friends to join the event and have a nice time together.

How can I get tickets for the concert?

Concerts are free!

What is the exact location of the YO!Fest?

The YO!Fest will take place at the Sphinxkwartier in Maastricht. The activities will be running parallel in the following buildings:

We are a youth organisation, how can we contribute?

The agenda has been finalised. However you can still join the event as regular participants and help us to promote the information about the event to young people.

What time does the festival start?

The official opening of the YO!Fest is on the 6th of February, 18:30, followed by concerts. But the real happenings – the buzz, the debates, the workshops and all – will be happening on the 7th. The doors open at 10 am. Be there in order not to miss out on anything. See the full programme HERE.

Does the YO!Fest provide accommodation?

YO!Fest 2017 does not provide accommodation. You are visiting the festival out of your own free will and joy. We are more than happy to welcome you, but you will need to find your own accommodation.

How can I enter the YO!Fest on the day of the festival?

Everyone has to go through the on-spot registration in order to get a festival wristband and the programme. Registration will be open on the 6th of February between 14:00-20:00, and on the 7th 9:00-17:00 at the Info Belvedere. We recommend you to come and register on the 6th (if possible), in order to ensure less lengthy queues on the 7th. Please bring your ticket what you got after the online registration Be sustainable! Instead of printing, it’s fine to show it on your phone. Don’t forget to bring an ID card with you!
